Jane Goodall



Jane Goodall is an inspiration to many. She discovered many hidden facts about chimpanzees that humans wouldn't have known. She studied their traits, habits, and behavior through various interactions. She was devoted to these animals and made it her life goal to understand them


Childhood:

  • Born on April 3, 1934 in London, England
  • Loved animals from an early age
  • Chimpanzees began to grow on her, and her favotire childhod toy even was one
  • when she grew older (late teens) she began saving for a trip to Africa
  • She worked a couple of jobs
  • Finally saved up enough money at the age of 23, so she went to visit her friend in Kenya

Education:

  1. Began studying Chimps in 1960
  2. Had no proper education
  3. Eventually, she recieved a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge
  4. She was one of the few to have ever been awarded a Ph.D. wihtout first having an A.B.

Impact:

Jane Goodall led many expeditions, and through her efforts she touched many people. Jane Goodall promoted the need to protect chimpanzees from extinction. She also created consevations to help these animals out. Today, it is called the Jane Goodall Institute . It strives to continue spreading and influencnig the amazing work of her onto others. It has been around for over 40 years.
