Hawkins is a town in the state of Indiana. It was a peaceful town until a gate to a different dimension, called the Upside Down, was opened. This gate allowed creatures called demogorgons into the town and this caused many casualties until one mother, Joyce Byers, decided to do something about it after her son went missing. Along with a police officer and a group of misfit kids, she was able to find her son and find out the secrets of the Upside Down. They continue to fight monsters and save the town without anyone knowing the truth.
